Jackdaws Den is a peaceful, adults-only glamping pod set on a working farm just outside the village of Cockerham in Lancashire. With countryside views, a private hot tub, and all the comforts you’d expect from a self-catered stay, it’s the ideal setting for a romantic retreat in the North West.
We had a great few days at Jackdaws Den.
It was a surprise for my husband and Diane decorated it with balloons and banner and a chocolate cake. I would highly recommend staying here if you want an excellent break away.
Very relaxing and hot tub was a bonus. Diane is an excellent host. We will be back some day.

Inside, the open-plan studio layout features a comfortable double bed, a compact but fully equipped kitchen (including a combi microwave/oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher), and a cosy lounge area with a Freeview TV and WiFi. The shower room includes a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, and fluffy towels ready for your arrival. Electric underfloor heating keeps things warm and welcoming all year round.
Outside, you’ll find a private patio area complete with a hot tub, BBQ, fire pit, and outdoor furniture, perfect for slow evenings and starry skies. With no pets, no children and no distractions, this is a space designed entirely for couples to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the quiet of the Lancashire countryside.
There’s off-road parking at the pod, plus a traditional pub within walking distance and scenic walks right from your doorstep.
