About Us
Hi, we’re the Kellet family, and we’d love to welcome you to Mill House Farm.
Our small family-run farm is home to three generations of Kellets: Raymond and Diane, along with our son Andrew and daughters Alison and Rachel. Together, we look after the land, the animals, and now… four luxury glamping pods we’re proud to share with our guests.
The farm has been in our family for 60+ years, and today we care for around 200 sheep (who lamb in spring), 190 cattle, and fields we use to grow crops that feed the animals through winter. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. In 2012, we installed two wind turbines to power the farm, and later, the glamping pods, followed by our own borehole in 2014, which now supplies all the water across the site. Our pods also use air source heat pumps to keep your hot tubs warm, and we’re part of a number of local environmental schemes to encourage wildlife and biodiversity.
The idea for Mill House Farm Pods came about in 2019 as a way to share this peaceful part of Lancashire with others. Every part of the project has been built either by us or with the help of local tradespeople, and the pods themselves were crafted just 30 minutes away in Morecambe.
We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy hosting it. It’s a special place, and we’re so glad you found it.
